Senate sends bill to make lynching a federal hate crime to Biden

IT’S TIME AGAIN TO PASS AND SIGN THE ANTI-LYNCHING BILL NOW

Just over 100 years ago, Moorfield Storey and James Weldon Johnson lobbied Congress to pass the Dyer Anti Lynching Bill H.R. 11279. Storey a white Harvard University graduate, and trained lawyer, viewed the passage of the bill with more urgency after working with black Atlanta University graduate, and trained lawyer Johnson.
