This celebration, broadcast live on FOX, will commemorate both the hymn's remarkable legacy and the resilience of the New Orleans community.

The student singers, who Jessica Harvey will lead, rehearse with an energy and passion that pays homage to the original performance by 500 schoolchildren on February 12, 1900 in Jacksonville, Florida.
125 Voices for 125 Years
Originally written to honor President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, “Lift Every Voice and Sing” has become a powerful symbol of perseverance, unity, and hope. Now, 125 years later, 125 high school voices from the Greater New Orleans area will echo that message at one of the world’s largest sporting events.
Their performance marks the debut of the Greater New Orleans High School Choral Collective, a new ensemble formed for this momentous event. Directed by Jessica Harvey and supported by 10 fellow choral directors, the collective seeks to become a lasting institution that preserves excellence in choral music and highlights the importance of vocal music programs in education.
